The venerable Allen Elston is no more! He died at his home in Choccolocco Valley, Wednesday the 21st, from the effects of old age rather than any specific disease. At the time of his death he was in the 76th year of his age. He was one of the pioneer settlers of Calhoun county, and for over forty-two years occupied one place of residence. Mr. Elston was one of the substantial men of the county, beloved for amiable qualities of head and heart by all who knew him, and universally respected throughout the county. Peace to his ashes.
