Captain Euclid Johnson

Captain Euclid Johnson, well known and much respected in Calhoun county, died suddenly of heart disease at his home in Rome, Ga., some days ago. He was very highly esteemed in Rome and his funeral was very largely attended by citizens and several societies of which he was an honored member. Capt. Johnson was born at White Plains in this county and spent his boyhood in Jacksonville. With the opening of the war he went in to the Confederate service and made a faithful soldier. Following the war he went into business at Selma. Removing thence to Montgomery he was several years in business there. His last change was made to Rome, where he was in business for several years prior to his death. He leaves a wife and one son.
