James Graham Wednesday at 11 o'clock, Mr. Jas. A. Graham died at his home in this place, of apoplexy. He was about fifty four years of age at the time of his death, and was one among the early settlers of Calhoun county. He was a man of quiet habits and kindly nature and was popular with all who knew him well. The tenderest sympathies of our community go out to members of his bereaved family. |

Ladiga, Ala., Jan. 24th, 1889. Mr. Editor:—I desire through the columns of your paper to return my grateful thanks in behalf of myself, the bereaved widow and other friends of my lamented brother, J. A. Graham, to the good people of Jacksonville for their kind attention and assistance during my brother's sickness, and after his death. I will always cherish a warm and kind feeling towards the people of Jacksonville for their kindness on this sad occasion. They are indeed a good people, and I am so favorably impressed with them, and will always love many of them for their kindness. J. R. Graham |
