Dr. Charles I. Davis
 

Dr. Chas. I. Davis, of Harrison, Washington county, died Saturday at the old family homestead near Tennille after several weeks illness of dyspepsia. Dr. Davis was a devout Christian gentleman, skilled physician and a useful citizen and much beloved by all who knew him. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his death. Dr. Davis was here at the marriage of his brother, Prof. T. J. Davis, to Miss Katie Skipper last December. He is also a brother to Mr. J. B. Davis, the husband of Miss Mattie Skipper, who married in Tennille last Wednesday night.
