Henry Pace Dead,

A Well-Known Negro Dies of
Pneumonia

Henry Pace, one of the best known Negroes of Dougherty county, died on Wednesday night on the Weslosky place two miles south of the city. He died of pneumonia.

Henry Pace was quite a character in his way. He was a farmer, but "jobbed about" town a good deal, and nearly everybody in the city and county knew him. He was good natured and shrewd, and nobody was ever known to beat him in a trade or business transaction. His good nature, native shrewdness and gift of gab made him a sort of "hard-fellow-well-met" with both black and white, and there are many who will regret to hear of his death.
