Lewis Martin, of Chattanooga, died in Mexia, Texas, a few days ago, of pneumonia. The young man went to Texas last September to take possession of a large and valuable landed estate to which he had fallen heir, and was only ill three weeks. He was a grandson of Col. B. E. Wells, of Cole City, and nephew of Mrs. Lofton, of this place. He was well known in Dalton, having once been a student of Crawford High School.
