Mrs. A. Porter Mrs. A. Porter of Griffin, an old lady about seventy-six years old, came to Thomaston a few weeks ago to visit her son, Mr. H. L. Porter, and was taken sick and died Thursday night at 8 o'clock surrounded by most of her children, who had come to visit her in her severe illness. Mrs. Porter was a most excellent christian lady and had been a member of the Baptist church for a number of years. Her husband, Judge Porter, died a little over one year ago and Mrs. Porter has been declining ever since the death of her noble husband. Her remains were carried to Griffin Friday morning and interred in the city cemetery beside her husband. The many friends of the family in Thomaston tender them their sympathy in this the hour of their sad bereavement.
