GENEALOGY WORKSHOPS

Beginnerís Level (curriculum may include but not limited to):

  • Record Keeping (pedigree charts, family group sheets, forms, research logs)
  • How to Conduct an Interview
  • Census Records (federal population schedules)
  • Vital Records (birth, marriage, death, divorce, Social Security Death Index)
  • Cemetery Investigation
  • Internet Searching

Intermediate/Advanced Level (curriculum may include but not limited to):

  • Probate Process (testacy and intestacy)
  • Land Records (plating, Aliquot System, patents, military warrants, deeds)
  • Census (agricultural, state population schedules, mortality schedules)
  • Newspaper Research
  • Tax Records
  • State and Federal Legislative Acts
